Project 1:
One of the highlights of my digital literacy project was making my homemade red salsa. I created a series of videos to show how to make it, and I wanted to make sure they were both clear and fun to watch. So, I added subtitles and emojis to the videos. The subtitles were super helpful for anyone who might be watching in a noisy place or who needs a little extra help following along. And the emojis, like the 🌶️ for chili peppers, made the videos more engaging and visually appealing. This approach helped break down the steps, making it easy for everyone to follow along, no matter their cooking experience. Plus, I included some tips and tricks for getting the best flavor. By combining clear instructions with fun visuals, I created content that was not just informative but also enjoyable to watch. It was so rewarding to see people try out the recipe and share their versions!
In addition to the videos, I also wrote a detailed step-by-step instructions. This was for those who prefer reading over watching videos. I wanted to make sure that my content was accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their preferred learning style. The blog post included a printable recipe card, which was a hit with my audience.
Overall, this project was a great learning experience for me. I got to combine my love for cooking with my interest in digital content creation, and the positive feedback I received was incredibly encouraging. It showed me the power of combining clear instructions with engaging visuals and how effective this approach can be in teaching and inspiring others.
